So last friday Paul, Monica, and Meself went out to the beach to watch the sunset and have some beers. Ok... truth be told we had plans for wine tasting and shopping around San Luis Obispo for a while... but sometimes things don't always go as planned now do they? Well, it was still a great time, and I was able to get some fun sunset photo's. Check them out and enjoy.

The next time I update it should be with a somewhat new look to the site for 2007. Have a wonderful new years and I think my buddy Phil said it best, "Remember DD just isn't a bra size, be safe while out drinking." Take care and I'll see you all again in the new year.

So I wanted to take a quick moment to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas... or maybe beter put... a Mary-Christ-Mass. I heard that from my friend Monica today and thought it to be very true. I find it wierd that we use this day to recive and give gifts to people we care about and hang out with family and friends and enjoy good times and go to church this one day a year and... I can go on but I'm not. The point is this... maybe we should remember this day and remember the fun we have and think that we should be doing this every day that we can adn not just on the holidays. Enjoy the wonderful company you are with, Miss the one's you are not with, Pray for thoughs you care about, Share in some laughs, and do this everyday that you can. Mary-Christ-Mass and have a wonderful end to the year.

So I have been meaning to take photo's of all the fall colors in the leaves around my condo for a good month now, and yesterday after I got off work I finally did it. If you like leaves... you should like the photo's I posted today also. Oh and 24 (Also known as the Jack Bauer Power Hour) Season 5 came out on DVD. I'm going to relive all of it this weekend.

Where did the year go? Well... it went to wonderfulness that is where. Anyways, lots of things to let you all in on. First I'm sad to say that my friend Marissa is going to be leaving for New Mexico and a new and wonderful life... so quote thursday is going to be a bit on and off for the rest of the year. I've also posted a lot of new photo's for you guys to check out. I'm sorry it's been so long but I have been very busy. Some of the pics are from a meal I made a week ago or so... and it looked so good I decided to take some pics of it. I can get wierd like that. Others are from Black Road in Santa Maria, while on a bike ride I noticed some great things and such to take some photo's of so I drove back with my camera last week. I also did some more family pics with the Green Family, this time out at the beach. I really couldn't have asked for a better day for family photo's. Blue skies, nice weather, and no wind. I'm happy with them... but I am really noticing that I still have a lot to work on and keep an eye out for while taking photo's. The really fun news is that my good friend Mariah and Eric had thier child last saturday. I couldn't get there that night to visit, so I went to the hospital on sunday to see the cute little girl and get some photo's. Only a day old and she is already stunning the camera. It's wierd... but being such good friends with Mariah for so long... I kind of fell like an uncle or something. She's going to be confused calling me Uncle though. Oh well. I hope you guys all enjoy the new photo's... and as always... take care.

So my site is now reaching just under or just over a 1000 hits a day. This makes me smile because it means that people are really enjoying my work and either coming back for more, or telling there friends. And this I am very thankful for. Tomorrow is also Turkey day, my favorite holliday, and that just rocks. I love Thanksgiving because there are no requirments. You don't have to buy presents, you don't have to fill out cards, you don't have to do anything beside just hang out with people you love, eat good food, and share in some laughs. It's all about togetherness and therefore... it's awsomely rad. So here is a quick list of things in this life that I'm thankful for; Family, Friends, Kay-Cee, Life, Happy job, laughs, photography, movies, art in general, 24 starting in just over a month, faith, knowledge, drinks, friends in town for the week, penguins, december 11th... will 12th, turkey dinner, left overs, the cooking channel, the magic bullet, seasonal ale's, eyes, reunions, kay's on a sunday morning, BBQ, Tri-Tip, winter air, camping, monkey's, stand up comedians that make me laugh, superman, and just everything else out there that makes this life so much fun.

Have a happy and mad filled Thanksgiving. Enjoy the family, Friends, Turkey, Food, Stuffings, Drinks, and all it has to offer. Drive fast and take chances.

So I'm sitting in my room working on updating the photo section with some pics from this past weekend with my brain just in major work mode. I'm also trying to mulitask and talk to some friends online. I'm far to awake now and geting slightly worried that I'm not going to be able to fall asleep right away, and I could really go for some sleep. Then I notice the flask next to my desk that is just slightly filled with some Vanilla Vodka. I also have some orange juice with me. The two are mixed and I am now ready for bed.

Anyways, I uploaded the photo's from the two shoots this past weekend. The family photo's are for some family friends of mine. I noticed a lot of things that I wish I could go back and change, and some things that I wish I did diffrently. At least I learned soemthing from it though right? So next time I will be little more aware of things to look for while out on a shoot. This all comes with the taritory of trying to build a portfolio though, and because they are willing to work with me and help me they got a great price. If anyone out there would like some family portraits, or no someone who does, I am working really cheap right now. Help me and I'll help you is the name of the game. On sunday I went up to San Luis Obispo to take some photographs of the Orcutt Junior High Cheerleaders at a compotion. My Cousin Tyla is coaching the cheerleaders and asked me to be the photographer. I didn't think I would have any fun, but it was acually a blast, though trying to shoot good photo's in a gym is always so tough, but damn it if I'm not going to figure out someday. The more I can do the better they will turn out.

The sun is now setting earlier in the day, and that is just no fun my friend. So last night I decided to relax with some friends, a little spa, a little wine, a little Dane Cook, and a lot of laughs. Everyone left around midnight thirty or so, but I wasn't tierd so I thought I would stay up and watch some t.v. and then before bed I thought I would read a bit. I knew it was late but I just wasn't tierd just then. I finally went to bed around one fortyfive or so only to get a phone call at two fortyfive that the morning editor was out sick. So quess who went into work with the whole one hour of sleep? Well, it wasn't bad at all, and I was able to stay awake seeing that I was all pumped up for the trailer for the new season of 24 that got released at noon. Yes, it was awsome. Anyways, I got off work earlier than normal due to going in so early and thought I would nap and then use some of the daylight to go out and get some photo's. I set my alarm to wake me up at four fifty so I could get out and get some photo's and then some sunset pics. Well... I woke up at seven thirty really confused, because it looks like I unplugged my phone, turned off the alarm, and then hide it under the bed. Wierd I know, but I guess I was more tierd than I thought. So I didn't get out to take some new pics, but I did have time to post a few from this past weekend, and for sure there will be another posting next week. Take care till then.

We're creeping up closer to Oct. 29th when we reset the clocks and the sun will set earlier. So I'm going to try and take some time to take plenty of photo's when I get off work and it's still light before I start to get off work when the sun has already set. Just no fun. I am spending some time working on getting some more video projects up. I'm going to see if I can get all my old highschool projects up for viewing... hopefully that will happen sooner rather than later.

I love lightning and thunder.
It's very rare to get such a wonderful lightning show here in Orcutt. But the central coast seems to provide one or two a year, and when they come... I go chasing them with the camera. Maybe standing at the top of an open field with a metal tri-pod, camera, and umbrella isn't the best of choices when a lightning storm is racing across the sky above me. But my roommate Brad came also so I figured maybe I would just get a photo of him getting struck. Kidding, but anyways... I'm super stoked with this years lightning photo's and I hope you all enjoy them as well. So I decided to go on a hike out to the Guadalupe Dunes and take some photo's. It turned out to be a really nice day, even though the wind was up, and I think I got some great pics. A single palm tree. That is all I really got a photo of this weekend. I blame the rain. Well, not really... I was very happy to see the rain. For one, it also Rained in Nice, so Kristin and I both had a rainy sunday. That's neat for me with her being on the other side of the world and nine hours into the future and all. For Two, the earlier in the season it starts raining... the earlier in the season I start camping. So yeah, I'm going to hope for more rain. Though, now that I think about it... I guess all this rain isn't the best for the grapes. That can effect the wine. I like wine. Maybe I don't want rain, but rain helps for next years crops, and I can go camping earlier, and they already got a good harvest in, and... ok, I'm just going to go with a pro rain stance. Anyways, I'll get out soon and take some more pics and post them when I can. Until then take care and remember, Jesus loves ya.

So the break from my camera has been nice. Working on those wedding photo's day and night was a lot of work, and now I'm ready to start doing some more shooting again. I'm learning that sorting through wedding photo's and editing them to look thier best is very time consuming. I'm at 35 really good pics so far and only aobut half way through them. I'm facing reality now, and between flying, taking care of stuff, watching season two of lost, and working on photo's, I most likely wont be finished untill later this week. I've been hearing a lot of request for me to post some new pics, but please just be patient a little while longer while I get them ready to post.
Editing these pics is taking up so much time that I haven't even been letting meself take new pics in fear that I would just start backing meself up into a corner with to many photo's and not enough time to work with them. So the camera has been put aside for a little while. Due to that and being so busy with stuff I missed my chance to take a photo's of the red sun that was out yesterday, really crazy looking... but there will be another time I'm sure. So I just finished my first solo wedding shoot, and well... it went wonderfully. Marissa and Baylon, now her husband, were more than perfect to work with. It was a wonderful reception and the photo's turned out great. I'm going to work on them soon and post them for you all. Untill then I posted a couple pics I worked on. Some of those pics are some self portraits I did one night after work when I got bored, I tried some diffrent for each one with some diffrent ways of editing it. So there were some awsome plans for me to go to the air show here in Santa Maria this weekend, but plans change. I'm now going to be making a quick three day trip up to Utah and back for my grandparents 50 wedding anniversary. We're making a stop in Nevada friday night for some sleep on the way there. So instead of plans, helicopters, and jets next week I'll be posting photo's of slot machines and the desert. I've also got some more pics I' m going to work on, so stay tuned for thoughs.

So my friend / partner in crime Chelsea (same Chelsea from 'the time I was a little girl' story) had me shoot her brothers senior photo. I also mentioned to her about an abandoned house I found one time when I was out hiking. When I got my camera I knew that one day I would hike back there to get some photo's. Well, she voluntered to model for me so I could get some pics there. We also made a trip up there first for her brothers senior pics, just so I could get a better idea of what we would want to do. Well, we figured it all out and went to go take the photo's last sunday. It was a good shoot and I was excited about finally getting a chance to really use my new reflector, and not only to reflect the light, but also use to shade when necesary. Well, I'll let you take a look at the pics and judge for yourself.

So I have uploaded a lot of new pics. Let me explain some of them, that is if you continue to read on. Anyway, I did my first shoot for senior pics yesterday, they wanted something simple so we went to waller park to take the photo's. This was also the first time I was able to really use the new reflector I bought a while back, and it really helped a lot in lighting Michael during the shoot. Along with the senior portraits I also posted some photo's from when I went out wine tasting a few weekends back. It was a good time with friends and of course... I came home with a few bottles of wine and a nice buzz. I finally got over to Fess Parker winery and it was just beautiful there. The grapes are starting to fill up and of course... the wine was delicious.
Last, but not least, are some photo's from a shoot I did last year, Noveber-ish if my memory serves me right (Yes, I added an "-ish" to the word November). The photo's are of the Slocum Family... the whole family. My friend, and fellow photographer, Jason went to the shoot with me and we split up the photo's to speed up the process. It was a good shoot, and now that I have the pics that they like the best edited I'm finally posting them. Ben Slocum did all the editing in photoshop and they turned out great, so I changed my mind in editing them all myself and just going to go with his. It also saved me some time for meself. Ok, I'm going to bed now.

Anyways, I would first off like to thank everyone that I've seen over the past couple days that have said such wonderful and nice things aobut my photography. It really makes me want to just do something more amazing and improve on my shooting. Second, I would also like to thank everyone who has been tossing around my name and website around to people for any photo work and what not. Third, you should toss around my name.

Fourth, moving on without numbers. I just watched my girlfriend drive off until December. She's going across the pond to study abroad for the next few months, so I'm going to sit myself down and write a book to keep myself busy (besides the obvious photography hobbie). We had the most amazing meal together tonght. I took her to one of my favorite restraunts, the Hitching post II in Buelton. It was such amazing food, and the thier wine is just getting better and better. I haven't ate there scine Sideways came out to avoid the tourist rush, but it's finally died down now and I forgot how much I forgot thier cooking. Enough on all that crap though. I've been working on some photo's and I'm going to post them soon, but first I'm going to wait till my photo shoot on saturday and see how much I have to post. Untill then...

OK, so the fair photo's didn't turn out like I wanted them too, but the ones I did like are few... so I'm not going to update anything until next week when I get back from the lake and have plenty of others to also post. This time I'm going with a full battery hoping to get a lot more pics while relaxing for a few days. I did however post another story. This one is a bit messy, but still a fun read if you wish.

With senior pics, family photo's, and other projects lined up I went ahead and ordered meself a photoflex colapsable reflector. I decided to go with the reversable 52' white / soft gold for this first one, with plans to get a reversable silver / gold in the future. I'm told that the soft gold reflect's better on people and gives a brighter skin tone rather than using a silver to reflect the natural sunlight. If it doesn't work perfect there is always photoshop though right?.

Photography updates may bit a bit sparce for the rest of the month. The coming days are looking very busy, and we are short staffed at work which means I'm going to be putting in some extra time in the edit bay. Please keep checking back and I will update what I can when I can. I do have a trip to the fair planned so I hope to get a lot of pics to play with this weekend. Take care and peace out for now.

I sit in my room listening to the fire works pop and crack in the distance only to wish that I was out there to watch. But I have things that demand my attention that I've put off for to long. Working on the computer and cleanign around the house. I did buy some fireworks that I plan to play with later. Anyways, new photo's are posted now from the past weekend. Spin Sequence is one I am most proud of right now. I didn't take the photo's planning to slip them together the way I did, but then noticed when I was working on them that they would piece together to make a great looking photo. I was so excitted when it it started working out. I'm sure Alex is going to love to see them himself when I show him this coming friday.
It also looks like I'm booked for some senior pics and some family photo's this august, so that is always good. I anyone needs any photo's done for anything toss my name around maybe. I would give you a hug if you did.

So this past weekend was a really good time all around. Went river rafting down the Kern River, Rode the Quad Runner around a nice off road track, relaxed in the sun, and hung out with the girl and her family.
I've always wanted to go white water rafting and it was just as amazing as I thought it would be. It was so good we couldn't go just once so we went on saturday and sunday, and even though it was down the same part of the river it was still just as exciting, which just goes to show how unpredictible the rapids can be. Now to remember to bring my own raft next time and I should be set. I also went out and rode the quad with Alex (Kristin's brother) on an off road track near the lake house. I haven't rode a quad for a good 10 years or so, but it was just like riding a bike and so I had no problem launching myself 8 feet up off some of the jumps. Also had no problem almost rolling the quad on one of those landings, but that is another story. But I did get some great pics of Alex catching some air on his Quad that turned out really nice, I plan on posting them tonight or tomorrow along with others from the past weekend.

The first two episodes of it's always sunny in philadelphia (season two) that just aired tonight were hilarious. Oh, and I'm running up to the lake house this weekend and I have a 1300mm lens with me. This means that I will be having fun with the camera.

Superman Returns was an awsome movie. Not only did it due great justice to the original Christopher Reeve films, but it was just a really solid heart felt story. The action is grand, the characters are true to the comic and the earlier movies, and the dialoge is witty and fun. I will recomend it to everyone... just a good, good movie. It's also one of the first movies I'm seen that was shot digital and looks just as solid as a film. Just go enjoy it, I mean hey, I'm going to again...

So the lake distroyed me this weekend. I've never felt so out of shape in my life. I'm still recovering from the bashing I took in. Though... I did get some good pics of people behind the boat crashing and what-not before the battery in my camera died. Oh well.. check them out though. So the Reese Wedding photo's seem to be the kick I've been waiting for. I posted them last week and am very proud of them. Since then I've been hearing that a lot of people loved the photo's. Tiffany's mom says they even turned out better then the photographer they hired. It makes me feel good to hear people are injoing my photo's. I've also got more hits on my site then ever before and that is always a nice thing.

Now that people are injoying my work I'm being asked about wedding photo's, Senior portrits, and other side jobs. My answer to all of them is... Yes. I'm going to make a pricing list here on the site soon, but I'll let you all know in advance that it will be half of what other people in the area are charging. This is because I am just starting to try and shoot these things and need to build a portfoilio of my work before I start figuring out how to go about it. I'll give you all more info soon.

Last weekend I spent some time with the wonderful girlfriend up at the lake house. It was a lot of fun and managed to work in some time to shoot some photo's. Ok, so I've finally found some time to post some photo's that I've been working on for the past couple weeks. My favorites are the one's from my good friend Randy Reese's wedding. Randy and Tiffany are a great couple and it was an honor to stand by Randy as a groamsman. It was a wonderful wedding. Their photographer was taking photo's of them afterwards and so I decided to tag along and take some pic's meself. It was a lot of fun and I don't know if he realized it... but he was acually showing me some tricks of my own. I'm thinking sometime soon I would like to begin taking wedding photo's meself on my weekends off for some extra cash. We'll see, I think I would like to shoot some more weddings, and maybe some senior pics, before turning it into a side buisness.

So I now have a lot of new photo's to upload for you all to see; However, I won't be able to do it for a little while. I'm finishing up on another project and then plan on editing all those pics and then uploading them. Some more random shots and then a lot of photo's from Randy and Tiffany Reese's wedding. It was more than honor for me to stand by Randy's side, and it also gave me a great oppertunity to hang out with thier photographer and grab some shots of my own. I am really prowd of a lot of them and can't wait for you all to see them. Soon though... soon...

Sorry about the lack in updates this past week. I've been really busy with another project. I have been taking photo's and plan on posting them soon. Again... new pic's are coming, just keep checking back. It may be tonight it may be next week. With my groomsman duties this week leading up to my buddy Randy's wedding I may not have time for updates until next week. If that becomes the case I'm sorry in advance. Oh... and X3 really wasn't all that great, but still... a fun movie. Now I just can't wait for superman returns to come out.

I'm so excted for this movie even though I'm competly aware that it's really just foreplay till superman returns comes out. So this weekend involves a trip to LA and back. Maybe some pics... and then again... maybe not. Yosimite pics are now up to be viewed. The trip was a lot of fun. The weather was perfect, and the snow caps just made everything that much more amazing. I still need some time to really get some campigning in there, but the day trip was not wasted at all. Kristin and I got a lot of hiking in and saw some amazing sights. At one point while sitting in a meddow with Kristin she asked how I got into photography and all that stuff. I put the camera over my shoulder, point the lens behind me, and said "I'm just a bad ass" and clicked the shutter. Well... I was joking when I said it but I guess I am a bit of a bad ass. The photo turned out really nice. So it's posted with the title 'backwards glace'. Enjoy.

So there is a plan for me to be in yosimite this weekend. I hope to take a lot of nature shots while out there. I don't know... maybe fight a bear if I see one. Either way it should be a great time. Until I return with new photo's next week... take care.

So I had a great time this past weekend with the girlfriend and hiking with the boys. It was a lot of fun. I fell in love again with my 300mm zoom lens which has not got any use in some months. Snaping shots of people when they don't know it makes for some great photo's. I wish I took my camera with me on the hike we went on but I didn't know what we were going to get ourselves into so I left it behind. Next time though it will come with me. There is one collage in the photo's that is not mine but four pics that some friends took. Just thought some other people might like to see it.

Pics from my camping trip with the grandparents again are posted. Along with two pics of the craziest dog I've ever scene. I'm walking into Albertsons to buy some food, and this dog is tied up outside while his owners do some shopping. It was like a car wreck, you know. You just have to look. So I spent my night last night listening to some Tool and creating a banner for this site. It's the fisrt banner I've ever made, and though it is simple I'm happy that people are posting it on thier pages. I'm also leaving tomorrow night to get some more camping in this weekend with my hard-core, roughing it in nowhere, grandparents. They've been out camping, living off the water in the stream and no bathrooms, for three weeks now. They rock. So When I return I should have a lot more new photo's to post.

I hope to have some new photo's posted sometime mid this week. And then again next week after my camping trip if it doesn't rain to much. Here is a short story to keep you busy though...

So my alrm goes off this morning to wake me up for work like it does every morning. I arise to snooze the alarm as it begins to buzz at BOB (that is 8:08, upside down it says BOB).

I than hit snooze and lay back down as I always do, waiting for that second alarm to get ot of bed. About 7 minutes into my wake-up rest, and waiting for that second alarm, it hits me like a bold of thunder. I rip myself out of bed instantly.

"Crap", I think to myself. It isn't 8 O'clock at all, but alas it is really Nine O'clock. I acually woke up at BOG. I then skip the brushing of teeth, showering, and instanly fast forward to getting dressed and out the door.

(Thank the lord for Axe Body spray, you saved the newsroom from stinky Donald.)

Alsa I arrived to work on time and only got behind a bit. So no real worries for me, and with no 6pm show tonight, thank you basket ball, It shouldn't affect me at all.

Time Change One, Donald Zilch. BOG wins this round... but next time, I will battle BOL with everything I got.

So I've updated qoutes for qoute thursday. I must explain one though. Today in San Luis Obispo a mysterous sink hole apeared in an area where sink holes shouldn't really be acuring. Anyways, this sink hole appeared before a statue of the Virgin Mary in th ehome of a very religous family. This leads me to beleave that she may be a gardener. Tremors than used this thought to create her qoute.

So some idiot decided to up my credit card another grand. I swear, they must know that there are a million things I would love to buy right now. Like a new lens for my camera maybe... those jerks. I was on my way out of debt. Now how long can I hold back the urge to buy everything I see and want?

I was walking to the grocery store today and saw a solicitor outside. "Crap, I hate these guy's" I thought to meself. Luckly for me he was pre ocuppied with another that he wasn't able to bother me. I got in safe. On the way out I noticed he was alone, I paused for a bit and looked behind me to see if I get some other unfortante victim to go first. No luck, so I moved on ahead. I aproached him and sure enough he came at me with his clipboard sign thing of doom. I don't know why I did what I did, but I stared he down and said, "I'm sorry I don't speak English." Last night I went and saw some bands last night at Down Town Brew Pub in Slo Town, it was quite an amazing show. Rocky Votolato was really good, espicialy since I had never heard of him before, he's an amazing artist. Also got some pics of the Appleseed Cast, they just blew me away the were so good, and also Minus the Bear, one of the most solid bands I've ever seen play live. Both Minus the Bear and the Appleseed Cast are up there with Tool and 36 Crazyfists as one of my favorite live acts now. Pics should be up late tonight I'm hoping.

So I have a plan to work on some photo's tonight. We will see how that goes... I was up in Turlock this past weekend, visiting the wonderful girlfriend, and went on a ride to take some photo's of the Almound Orchirds there. The budding white flowers on the tree's and those on the ground almost give them an angilic look. Just check back late tonight or tomorrow and you'll see what I'm blabbing about.

Most hits ever. I think those snow pics were just what people were looking for. I got more hits these past two days then ever before. Something like 100 visitors a day... Sweet. Anyway, I updated the video section finally. There will be some more additions soon, but for now there is one up there for your enjoyment. My roommate Nic and meself went on a nice drive up to Figueroa Mountain this morning. It got cold enough this weekend, with enough rain, to drop about 5 inches of snow on the ground. It was so peacefull. There is something about snow that is so... well... magical. I still hate the cold white stuff though, it's so... cold. That and I got my Jeep stuck and slidding in the snow/slush. Thanks to a nice man and some rope in the back of the jeep I got pulled out all nice like. When I bought that jeep last June I went against the 4x4 beacause I don't do snow, and don't do sand. So I said that there would be a handfull of times that I would wish I had the 4x4. One.

So yesterday that day finally came. My father called me to run up to lopoc to take some photo's of his 1928 Essex before he sold it. It's going to wierd me out for awhile because that old car has been in the garage all me life. I don't even know how he is dealing with letting it go after getting it from his dad and holding onto it for over half of his life. It's tough to see it go, but I think my dad is right in thr thought that it is the right thing to do. Oh, and he cried like a baby. There will be some photo's posted tomorrow.
